Tour Montparnasse
The Montparnasse Tower is the tallest skyscraper in Paris, located in the Necker district (15th arrondissement). Its height of 209 m (without the glass screen of the 2.90 m gazebo) made it the tallest building in France for nearly forty years, until the completion in 2011 of the First Tower in La Défense. Inaugurated in 1973, the Montparnasse tower was designed by architects Jean Saubot, Eugène Beaudouin, Urbain Cassan and Louis de Hoÿm de Marien under the direction of the promoter Jean-Claude Aaron. It is part of the Tour Maine-Montparnasse (EITMM) real estate complex.
