About

Robert Schuman's house is a residence on Mount Saint-Quentin in the village of Scy-Chazelles en Moselle. It is the principal residence of Robert Schuman's "father of Europe" between 1926 and 1963. Robert Schuman's house was transformed into a museum by the Moselle department.

Robert Schuman's House

This museum includes both the house and its garden, which were designed to accurately reproduce the appearance of the places in Robert Schuman's time. It also includes a permanent exhibition on life and European work by Robert Schuman, as well as a temporary exhibition room and auditorium. In the park, a sculpture entitled the Flame of Europe, by sculptor Jean-Yves Lechevallier was erected in 1977 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome.
