The house of our history is located in Fenain (North). The museum's theme is local history and presents the past way of life of the people of the mining basin. The objects presented are objects related to the daily agricultural, school or recreational life.

Most of the objects presented in the museum are gifts from individuals to the museum. Beyond the presentation of historical objects of everyday life, the museum also includes works by local artists, engravings or paintings, with the theme of the city of Fenain itself or the mine. The museum cellar has been transformed into a reproduction of a miniature mine gallery.

In this cellar there is also a collection of stones found by a minor during his career. The museum is also the meeting place of the Fenain Association and its History. The museum is open on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9 a.m.

to noon. The entrance is free, one can find at the purchase books dealing with the local history of Fenain.
