The Belfry of Lucheux is a belfry, at the same time as a fortified gate, located in Lucheux, north of the Somme department. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.

Characteristics: The Belfry of Lucheux was built on an old gate of the village. This particularity is now the only belfry-porch in northern Europe. The main street of the village always passes under the vault of this door. The belfry of Lucheux has a height of 22 meters. It has the shape of a large rectangular tower built in chalk. It is pierced by a dogive vaulted passage. The roof of the bell tower offers the peculiarity of being covered with hazelnut wood tiles. The belfry has a clock whose mechanism has been reassembled every eight days by a communal employee. It was listed as a historic monument in 1896. Its main bell rang twice in the 20th century during the two world wars. It again rang on 15 July 2005 to celebrate the inclusion of the belfry on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
