Micropolis

Micropolis, the Cité des Insects is a space dedicated to raising awareness of the world of insects located on the Lévezou, in Saint-Léons, in the department of Aveyron. The park was inspired by the entomologist Jean-Henri Fabre, born in the village of Saint-Léons and by the momentum of the film Microcosmos. It contains vast outdoor spaces, including a walk called the insect carnival, which is both a nature observation space with a panorama on Mount Seigne (1,128 m - 2nd summit of Levézou) and a playful space for the evocation of insects through 11 figurative stations with giant insects. The covered building comprises about fifteen rooms spread over 2,400 m2.
