War memorial
monument aux morts de Lodève
The Monument to the dead of Lodève was realized in 1930 by Paul Dardé (1888-1963). It is composed of a group of four women and two children in front of a girder, symbolizing the pain after the loss of a father during the First World War, which took place from 1914 to 1918. This was the first armed conflict that involved so many countries around the world. The loss of life was more than 8 million dead and 6 million invalids.
