Musée Escale Haut-Rhône

The Escale Haut-Rhône Museum is a former museum located in Brégnier-Cordon, Ain. Located at the confluence of the three departments of Ain, Isère and Savoie, in the "V" of the Rhone, the Musée Escale Haut-Rhône is a resource place on the river and the men who live around it. With very modern equipment, the site offers over 700 m2 a vast space of permanent and temporary exhibitions to discover the different facets of the river and the local heritage heritage.

It is dedicated to the Rhône (the river), in all its aspects: history, flora, fauna and human activities induced by the river in particular navigation. Managed by the Southern Bugey Communal Community, the museum opened on June 16, 2007. It closed its doors permanently in 2016.
