musée Jules-Desbois
The Jules Desbois Museum, in Parçay-les-Pins en Maine-et-Loire, is a museum labeled "Musée de France", dedicated to the work of sculptor Jules Desbois (1851-1935), friend and collaborator of Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel. A hundred works of this remarkable artist are presented: sculptures and decorative art objects celebrate the human body with power, realism and sensuality. The young Jules-Desbois museum, opened in 2001 in Parçay-les-Pins, is the result of a long work begun in 1979.
