musée Mathurin-Méheut
The Mathurin-Méheut Museum is located in the Place du Champ de faire in Lamballe, in the Côtes-d'Armor department. It is dedicated to painter, decorator, illustrator, ceramist and sculptor Mathurin Méheut (1882-1958), a native of the city. It was created in 1972, on the initiative of the Association Les Amis de Mathurin-Meheut, from the workshop fund given by the artist's daughter, Marguerite Méheut.
It has been installed since June 2022 in a building of the old hams of Lamballe. Each year, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions highlighting certain themes of Mathurin Méheut's work, allowing a rolling collection of over 5,000 works.
