Musée d'art moderne (Saint-Étienne)

The Musée d'Art moderne et contemporain de Saint-Étienne Métropole houses more than 20,000 works, including 1,500 design pieces. Built by the architect Didier Guichard, it was inaugurated at the north entrance of the city of Saint-Étienne, on the commune of Saint-Priest-en-Jarez (Loire), on December 10, 1987. It was directed from 1987 to 1998 by Bernard Ceysson and until 2003 by Jacques Beauffet.

From July 2003 to December 2016, Lorand Hegyi was Executive Director. Martine Dancer is acting from January 2017 until the arrival of Aurélie Voltz on October 2, 2017.
