musée du Domaine départemental de Sceaux
The Musée du Domaine départemental de Sceaux, owned by the Hauts-de-Seine department, is located in the heart of the Parc de Sceaux and includes several buildings. His permanent collections evoke the art of living in Île-de-France, from Louis XIV to Napoleon III, and more precisely, from the creation of the domain of Sceaux, to the initiative of Jean-Baptiste Colbert, to his rebirth, by the will of the Duke and Duchess of Treviso. The collections are presented in the current Château de Sceaux, built between 1856 and 1860 for the Treviso.
Other historic buildings are also open to the public: the Aurore Pavilion, the Orangerie and the Écuries. Known since its creation (1937) as the Musée de l'Île-de-France, it was renamed in 2013 "Musée du Domaine départemental de Sceaux".
