Valenciennes Museum of Fine Arts is a municipal museum in the city of Valenciennes. From the collections of the Valencian Academy of Painting and Sculpture, the museum was first opened to the public in 1801. In 1834 a communal museum was established in the town hall. At the end of the 19th century following a competition, a new building was erected according to the plans of architect Paul Dusart and on 27 June 1909 it was inaugurated.
