Musée du feutre

The felt museum is a museum of Mouzon dedicated to wool felt, created in honour of the last French factory of industrial manufacture of this textile, the Sommer factory and then Le Feltre, which was in the commune. The museum covers three areas: the history of felt, with a large collection of oriental felts, industrial felt, including a manufacturing chain, and contemporary creation based on this textile. The museum also welcomes contemporary felt artists using its permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. It has for this purpose a recent annex, which leads to a garden of tinctoriales, used to dye wool.
