The Museum of the country of Hanau is located in the territory of the French commune of Bouxwiller, located in the administrative district of Bas-Rhin and, since 1 January 2021, in the territory of the European Community of Alsace, in the region Grand Est Designed as a museum of society, it presents the history, culture and environment of the country of Hanau, in an architectural ensemble of the 14th and 16th centuries, inscribed in the Historical Monuments. Until the end of October 2011, its name was Museum of Bouxwiller in the country of Hanau. The name was simplified at the request of the management of the Musées de France.
