The site of Notre-Dame de Bois-Vert is located in the commune of Fare-en-Champsaur (Hautes-Alpes), 15 kilometers north of Gap, on the east side of the mountain of Moutet, advanced bastion of Dévoluy. It is reached by a small road from the old village of La Fare (the capital). Every August 15 a large crowd gathers in the open air around Notre-Dame de Bois-Vert.
