oppidum des Caisses de Jean-Jean
L'oppidum des Caisses de Jean-Jean is an oppidum located in the commune of Mouriès, in the Alpilles, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, France. It dates back to Celtic times. It is located in a bowl surrounded by two limestone rock bars to the north and south that join to the east to form an acropolis.
Fortifications of several epochs were identified, attesting to the settlement of this oppidum from the 6th to the 1st century BC. It is accessible via a marked itinerary.
