The Opera Theatre of Clermont-Ferrand (formerly Municipal Opera) is located in the heart of the city, on Desaix Boulevard (main entrance) and on Jaude Square. Under the leadership of the municipality led by Amédée Gasquet, it was built between 1891 and 1894. The works were led by architect Jean Teillard.
