Ouvrage Rohrbach

The work of Rohrbach, also called fort Casso in tribute to General Casso (1912-2002), is a fortified work of the Maginot line, located on the boundary between the municipalities of Bettviller and Rohrbach-lès-Bitche, in the Moselle department. It is a small infantry work, with three blocks. Built from 1934, it was spared from the fighting of June 1940, then sabotaged in 1944, before being repaired at the beginning of the Cold War. It is now entrusted to an association which is responsible for tourist visits.
