The castle and Louvière Park are located in Montluçon, France.
Location: The castle and the Louvière park are located east of the town centre of Montluçon, near the cemetery of the East, in the department of Allier, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
History: The château de la Louvière was built between 1926 and 1953 for the Montluçon industrialist François-Joseph Troubat (1874-1968) by architect René Sappin des Raynaud (1878-1951). Two hemicycle wings were added in 1954. The castle and its park were left to the city of Montluçon in 1976. The castle and park are listed as historical monuments by order of 7 February 1994. The ensemble is open to visit.
Description: The castle is freely inspired by the Petit Trianon de Versailles and corresponds, like its original furniture and decor, to the taste of François-Joseph Troubat for the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
