About

The Parc de l'Arbre Sec is a landscaped park located in Auxerre on the banks of the Yonne. It was built by Fernand Gauthier, architect-voyer of the city of Auxerre. Classified as a bird sanctuary, the park is typical of 19th-century botanical gardens.

The floral park area is inspired by the style of Edward André's landscaped gardens. There is a beautiful botanical collection of trees and shrubs. The relaxing garden area is surrounded by the large boulingrin lawn: the kindergarten, the aisle of the Catalpas, the "Sec Tree" and the landscape hedge.
