About

The Lorois Bridge is a bridge allowing the passage of the Etel River between Belz and Plouhinec (Department of Morbihan). This is the only passage between the banks of the Pays de Lorient and the Pays d'Auray. Originally completed in 1841, it was tolled in 1851, then destroyed twice (in 1894 and 1944).

The current bridge was inaugurated on 13 September 1956 and was named after Édouard Lorois, Prefect of Morbihan from 1838 to 1848. Its total length is 237 m.
