pont Rhin et Danube
The Rhine and Danube Bridge is a bridge with a metal structure that crosses the Seine over a length of five hundred and thirty meters between Meulan-en-Yvelines and the Mureaux, relying on Belle Island, in the department of Yvelines (France). It consists in fact of two successive bridges: the first crosses the navigable arm for 160 meters between Les Mureaux and Île Belle by relying on two piles immersed in the river; the second crossed the arms of Saint-Côme and Meulan (dead arm) for 120 meters, resting on a pile located at the tip of the island of Fort. The two bridges are not aligned and are connected by a two-lane road approximately 250 metres long, which also serves the islands of the Seine (island Belle and island du Fort).
