The Chasse bridge (sometimes called the Givors bridge) is a suspension bridge that spans the Rhône between Givors in the Rhône department and Chasse-sur-Rhône in the Isère department. The bridge, built according to the technique of the suspension bridges of the Seguin brothers, consists of three spans: the central span is 80 meters and the shore spans are 60 meters. The roadway on the apron has a single alternate traffic lane without sidewalk. It is lined with metal railings. At the entrance of the bridge, on the side of Givors, stands the former grant office. Two straight stairs at the abutments give access to the banks.

History: In 1831, the mayor of Givors, Camille Joseph Dugas, contacted an engineer to build a bridge on the Rhone and asked for state assistance to create the Givors Bridge Company. In 1832, the Givors City Council was called upon to deliberate on the utility of a suspended bridge on the Rhone connecting the city of Givors and the neighbouring department of Isère, at an estimated cost of 220 000 francs, in order to replace the track ferry which had become insufficient.
