The bridge of Europe is a bridge in arc bowling inclined French crossing the Loire between Orléans, Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle to the north and Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin to the south, in the department of Loiret and the region Centre-Val de Loire. It is the fifth road bridge in service on the Loire in the Orléanese agglomeration; The other four are upstream, the René Thinat Bridge, the George V Bridge, the Marshal-Joffre Bridge (1958) and the A71 Bridge on the Loire River. It was inaugurated on 20 November 2000 in the presence of Lionel Jospin, then Prime Minister.
