The Auguste Gate is a Roman monument built in the first century BC in Nîmes, in the Gard.

History: The construction of the Auguste Gate, formerly known as "Porte d'Arles", dates back to the 1st century BC. It was then part of the long Roman enclosure of Nîmes and was one of the main gates of the city. It was also the entry point of the Domitian Way into the colony. Today, its remains are located east of the ECUson district. The Auguste Gate is classified as historical monuments by the list of 1840.

Structure: The door is equipped with four arched arch crossings, including two large vehicle hubs and two small pedestrian sideways. It was once flanked by two semicircular towers. The location of these towers is indicated on the sidewalk by a circle of large flat stones.

The inscription above the arcs indicates:
