About

The Dauphin vegetable garden is a park in the centre of Meudon, in the Hauts-de-Seine department (France). It borders the avenue of Meudon Castle. Created in the 17th century it became a royal domain when it was purchased by Louis XIV for the Grand Dauphin.

Sold as a national asset during the French Revolution, it passed into various hands and was acquired by the Jesuits in 1946, who made it a boarding school for young Russians in exile. In 2002, the sale to developers of the park is envisaged. Under pressure from associations, the city of Meudon finally bought it and opened it to the public.
