About

Originally called the Val-Fleury viaduct, the Meudon viaduct or Hélène bridge is located in the town of Meudon in the Hauts-de-Seine. It was built during the construction of the railway linking the station of Paris-Montparnasse to the station of Versailles-Chantiers. It allows the crossing of the valley of Arthelon Ru separating the hills of Meudon from those of Clamart.

An arch of the viaduct passes the line of the Invalides in Versailles-Rive-Gauche, opened on this section in the early 1900s, which goes south towards the station of Meudon-Val-Fleury and, beyond that, towards that of Versailles-Château-Rive-Gauche. It is a stone or masonry bridge with a total length of 142.7 metres and seven spans. In 2010, it was the oldest railway viaduct still in service in France.
