refuge des Bans
The Bans refuge is a mountain refuge located in France, in the Hautes-Alpes, in the Écrins massif, at the foot of the Bans. The refuge is accessed from Vallouise, towards the west, then by going beyond the hamlet of Entre-les-Aigues. It is a starting point for the ascent of the Bans (notably the Picard-Vernet (D-) track, the Giraud road facing south (TD+), as well as the modern climbing routes at the foothills of the Bans), but also the Bonvoisin peak, the Jocelme peak, the Aupillous peak, the Red Beef tip, the Pilarte tip or the crossing of the Sellar pass.
