The Ruitor refuge is located at 2,035 m above sea level in the middle of the Sassière plateau, at the foot of the imposing Ruitor Head. The refuge is a former alpine chalet which was restored, once in 1974, by the French Alpine Club; He then had 16 seats. It was then renovated by its owners in 1989. The shelter has blankets, mattresses and is equipped with gas and heating.
