The Calviac Zoological Reserve is a private, non-profit, French zoological park located in the Dordogne, in Calviac-en-Périgord, near Sarlat, at the place known as "Sous le Roc". Opened on 3 August 2008, the park has 45 severely threatened animal species on four hectares. A permanent member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums, he is committed to ex situ conservation by participating in European programmes for endangered species, and in in situ conservation by supporting and initiating biodiversity conservation actions, mainly in Madagascar, Brazil and New Aquitaine.
