Location: The church is located in the French department of the Dordogne, in the commune of Carsac-Aillac, at the western entrance of the village of Carsac, on the edge of the departmental road 703 and of the stream Énéa.
History: The church of Saint-Caprais appears in the sill of the diocese of Périgueux in the 12th century. The church is then parish, at the snack by the bishop and part of the archpriest of Sarlat. The church is quoted in Marguerite de Turenne's will. In 1321, the bishop of Sarlat Raymond d'Apremont de Roquecorne united the church with the office of Cellerier. There are few documents about the church during the Hundred Years War. Jean de Harpedenne or Harpedane, Sénéchal du Périgord, appeared in front of the walls of Sarlat in September 1397. He is only allowed to enter the city with twenty men of arms. The rest of his troop looted the surrounding area. The parish priest of Carsac complains about their misdeeds. In 1415 a ban on emigrating was proclaimed in Domme, but in 1534 the inhabitants of Temniac and Carlux decided to disregard this ban and to leave in Spain,...
