La Scène nationale de l'Essonne is located in Évry-Courcouronnes in the French department of l'Essonne, labeled national scene by the Ministry of Culture since 1991 and dedicated to live shows. Since July 2018, it has been composed of two venues: the Théâtre de l'Agora in Évry-Courcouronnes and the Robert Desnos Cultural Centre in Ris-Orangis. Formerly Théâtre de l'Agora, the national scene of Évry and Essonne, it becomes the National Scene of the Essonne, Agora - Desnos and then the National Scene of the Essonne.
