About

The Cathedral of the Resurrection of St.Corbinian Evry is a diocesan cathedral of Catholic denomination, dedicated to Bishop Corbinian Freising who was born in the seventh century in Arpajon in the current diocese of Evry. The cathedral is located in the French commune of Évry-Courcouronnes and the Essonne department. Its construction was completed in 1995. With the exception of Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille Cathedral in Lille, completed in 1999 but begun in 1854, and those of Saint-Étienne and Créteil, built in the 20th century as churches and then raised only to the rank of cathedral, the cathedral of Évry was the only one built in metropolitan France in the 20th century.
