monument à Vercingétorix
The Monument to Vercingetorix is a copper statue of the sculptor Aimé Millet, who has dominated since 1865 the village of Alise-Sainte-Reine (Côte-d'Or) in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, from the top of Mount Auxois, supposed site of the Gallic oppidum of Alésia, famous for its siege and the defeat of Vercingetorix.
