Viaduc de Martrou

The viaduct de Martrou is a viaduct built between 1989 and 1991 in the French department of Charente-Maritime, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, downstream of the Martrou ferry bridge, to connect Rochefort to Échillais by crossing the Charente. The viaduct allows the crossing of the Charente to get to Royan or the island of Oléron (coast Échillais, south) or to La Rochelle and the island of Ré (coast Rochefort, north).
