The Upper Country and Transport Ecomuseum is located in the former Breil-sur-Roya locomotive depot, near the SNCF station, about 60 km northeast of Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The museum features several locomotives, steam or electric, railcars, a locotractor, trams, buses and trolleybuses, as well as an HO-scale miniature railway network featuring several emblematic sites on the Tende line.
