The chapel Notre-Dame-des-Pins de La Palmyre is located in the Palmyra in the commune of Mathes in Charente-Maritime. It was inaugurated in October 1991.

Description: The first Notre-Dame-des-Pins chapel was destroyed because it was deemed insufficient for the needs of worship. The new chapel, without walls and largely open to the surrounding woods, consists of four spans with a maritime pine frame, supported by pillars. An opening in the roof above the altar ensures its lighting. A sacristy is arranged in an angle of the choir.

Location: The church is located in a small pine forest in the middle of the small dunes in the centre of Palmyra. La Palmyre is a small tourist district dependent on the municipality of Mathes on the peninsula of Arvert.
