The former church of Saint-André de Souvignargues is a Romanesque church in Souvignargues, France.
Location: The church stands isolated in the countryside 600 metres northeast of the village. It is reached by the path of Saint-Étienne which starts at the parking lot located near the old washhouse at the exit of the village on the road leading to Montpezat.
History: Suvignargues is mentioned in 1031 in the cartular of the Cathedral of Nîmes under the name In terminium Sancti-Andreæ de Silvagnanicus, in ripa de Aqua-Lata in comitatu Nemausensis. About a century later, it appeared in the cartular of the abbey of Psalmody under the names Villa Salviniaca in 1123 and Salviananegues in 1125. Saint Andrew's Church was built in the 12th century. Suvignargues is mentioned in 1582 with Escattates under the name of Savinhargues et Escattate, viguria de Sommières. He was part of the viguria and archpried of Sommières, in the diocese of Nîmes.
