Church building
église Saint-Denis de Remy
Saint-Denis Church is a parish Catholic church located in Remy, Oise, France. It is a large building of flamboyant Gothic style and Renaissance, which replaces a older building of the early 13th century, some of which remains, including the end walls of the old transept. Quite notable for the landscape is the bell tower-porch of the 16th century 35 m high, whose main stylistic elements, networks of the bays of the floor of belfry, balustrade and arrow, are arrangements of the years 1861-1873.
There is, especially outside, a clear separation between the nave of the faithful and the liturgical choir. The low-lying, low-rise, low-rise, low-bottom walls contrast strongly with the elegance and height of the eastern parts, and the refinement of its Renaissance decor. Inside, the flamboyant style prevails, and the differences between nave and choir are smaller.
They are mostly of the same height and width. However, the vaults of the nave and its south side date only from the 19th century, and are lacking in artistic interest. Only the north side preserves its beautiful walled ceiling of the sixteenth century....
