The chapel of Saint-Félix du Château (Sant Feliu de Castellvell) is a Romanesque chapel in Llo, France.
Site: The chapel of Saint-Félix stands on a rocky hill, 400 m high, on the plateau of Cerdagne, in the eastern Pyrenees. This site, named El Lladrer by the IGN, is also known as the site of a protohistoric habitat of the Bronze and Iron Ages (Lo Lladre site) and a medieval castle in ruins, the Llo Castell. The location allows you to see all the high Cerdagne from the chapel.
History: It was the chapel of the former castle of Llo, located below near the village. It appears for the first time in a 1259 document. It was the seat of a small priory, occupied by a single monk in 1260.
Architecture: The church is small, consisting of a rectangular nave and a semicircular apse. It is oriented to the east, and the entrance is located on the west facade, surmounted by a bell tower with a single bell, whose location is occupied today by a statue. The walls were 2.50 m high.
