Church building
église Saint-Jérôme de Toulouse
The church of the Sanctuary of Saint-Jérôme (former chapel of the Blue Penitents), rue du Lieutenant-Colonel-Pélissier (former street of the Blue Penitents), is a church built by the Royal Society of the Blue Penitents of Toulouse. It was built in the 17th century by architect Pierre Levesville under Louis XIII, the first king of France, member of the brotherhood. The Blue Penitents appealed to Toulouse's best artists to decorate their chapel, which did not have to suffer too much from the French Revolution.
