Saint Martin Church is a Catholic parish church located in Omerville, France. It is singularized by its elongated plan, with a single ship, with spans of four different epochs that follow each other in enfilade, and a central Romanesque bell tower. With the walls of the second and third span of the nave, it represents the oldest part of the church, and should go back to at least the last quarter of the 11th century, or otherwise to the very beginning of the 12th century.
Unfortunately, the elegant stone arrow added in the mid-12th century was demolished around 1905, and replaced by a simple roof. Inside, the Romanesque character was well preserved in the base of the vaulted bell tower. A choir of two spans, whose style of vaulting reflects the last years of the first Gothic period, is substituted for the primitive apse around 1220-1230.
When the choir was enlarged by the addition of an apse with cut strips in the last quarter of the 13th century or at the beginning of the 14th century, the second span was partially demolished for unknown reasons.
