About

Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul Church is a Catholic church located in La Nouaille, France.

Location: The church is located in the French department of Creuse, in the commune of La Nouaille.

History: An act of the cartular of the Cathedral of Limoges of 1105 quoted the church of La Nouaille ("acclesia de Noala"). Another act of 1125 of the cartular of the cathedral indicates that the church of La Nouaille, with villa and tithes - acclesiam of Noala and villam and decimas ejusdem accelesie - had been given by a lady Chambon. The church of La Nouaille is dedicated to Saint Peter and depended on the archpriest of Aubusson. The first three western spans date from the 12th century, 5.50 m wide, vaulted in a low cradle. The 4th and 5th spans date from the 15th century and are 6 m wide. The façade was redone in the 17th century. The bell tower is separated from the nave of the church. It was probably built in the seventeenth century.
