Location: The church is located in the French department of Charente-Maritime, in the commune of Bougneau.

History: The construction of the Romanesque church must go back to the end of the 11th century. The nave was built during the 12th century. The church underwent modifications during the Gothic and classical periods. The choir, rectangular outside, ends with a semicircular apse inside; It has two superimposed arching levels. The square bell tower, on the right span of the choir, has two levels of Romanesque bays, each floor is in step from the previous one. The nave has the only northern collateral. The Gothic façade has a large polylobed portal and the interior has many capitals of carved columns.

Protection: The building was classified as historic monuments in 1913 and registered in 2000.
