About

The Church of Saint-Saturnin of Limeray is a Roman Catholic church located in the heart of the city of Limeray (Indre-et-Loire-France), in the former province of Touraine. Built in the 11th century in Romanesque style and redesigned in the 12th century, its voute was redone in the 16th century in an Angelvin Gothic style and its openings in the 15th and 16th centuries in flamboyant Gothic style. Equipped with a cul-de-four apse, its entrance gate is a arch in full hanger supported by capital columns.

Its bell tower was rebuilt in the 18th century following its collapse in 1711. St. Saturnin's church was listed in the inventory of historical monuments on March 30, 1926 and the base of its Romanesque bell tower was classified on October 16, 1992.
