The Church of Saint-Silvin de Matrort is a Roman Catholic church located in the suburb of Matrort, west of Abbeville, in the department of the Somme. Built in the 11th century, it is the oldest church in the city. The patronage of the church is attributed to Saint Silvin, a hermit who died in the diocese of Thérouanne, whose cult spread from the Carolingian period.

She is the only one in the diocese of Amiens under this term. A relic of Saint Silvin is preserved there, attracting the faithful under the Old Regime during a pilgrimage organized each year in September. The building has undergone many transformations over the centuries: its nave is enhanced and the tower of the bell tower raised during the 14th century, and chapels are added, including the chapel of the Virgin, probably built in the 15th century, and the chapel of Saint Peter, of the 17th century, but redesigned in 1879.

During the Revolution, the church was closed, its presbytery and the building itself sold as national property, before being gradually restored and dedicated again to worship. Since 1875, it has belonged to the municipality of Abbeville. Today, maintenance and enhancement of the building...
