église Sainte-Madeleine de Besançon
The Sainte-Madeleine church is a classic 18th-century hall church in the Battant district of Besançon, in the Doubs region of Burgundy-Franche-Comté. It was rebuilt between 1746 and 1766 by the bisontin architect Nicolas Nicole. This church belongs to the "Saint Stephen pastoral unit" and is entrusted to the Fraternity Saint Peter.
It has been listed as a historical monument since 1930, and houses a listed organ with historical monuments, as well as a museum of past life in Battant. The Bisontins preferably call it church of Madeleine.
