About

Sainte-Marguerite Church is a neo-Roman religious building located in the commune of Hinges, Pas-de-Calais, France. Construction of this building began in the early twentieth century, in response to the destruction of the former church during the First World War. The church of Sainte-Marguerite was designed by architect Léon Guthmann, who also played a role in the reconstruction of the Place de Béthune after the war. It is dedicated to St.Marguerite of Antioch, a martyr virgin often represented alongside a dragon, which is one of its attributes.
