Église Saint-Julien-l'Hospitalier de Longuet

A chapel was built in 1716 on the foundations of a small hermitage dating from the Templars. After having been dedicated to St Andrew, she was placed under the protection of St Julien the Hospitaller (or The Poor), probably because of her geographical location. Indeed, the hamlet of Longuet is located on the edge of the Somme, 800 meters from the commune of Long, once very prosperous. The passage of the river was for the inhabitants of this village at the height of the hamlet of Longuet. The legend told by Flaubert, learns that the saint dedicated part of his life to being a smuggler.
