MuSaMa

About

MuSaMa was a museum dedicated to the artisanal manufacture of Marseille soap. It closed in September 2020. The museum was created by Jean-Baptiste Jaussaud, president of the Conservatoire national du soap de Marseille, in partnership with Crédit agricole, in order to enhance cultural heritage and local know-how. The museum opened on March 12, 2018. The place is divided into 3 parts:

A permanent exhibition on the traces of Marseille soapmakers, A workshop where each visitor makes his soap from Marseille after attending a presentation of the history and composition of this product, A temporary exhibition room.
